Important People: Barovia

Bildrath: a selfish and exploitative man who has a wide variety of products but charges outrageous fees for them because he has the only remaining general store in town, so can charge what he wants. His nephew, Parriwimple, helps him to run the store.
Granny: an elderly woman seen pushing a cart of pies through the streets of Barovia, she says that her pies have special qualities to help people to have good dreams. Sold for 1gp each, they come in meat, potato, and maple nut, and are extremely popular around town, to the point of villagers being obsessed with them.
Mad Mary: middle-aged woman found weeping despondantly in her home over the loss of her "9yo daughter", Gertruda, who "broke out of the house" the week prior. She does not believe any foul play is at hand, only that the girl has run away, possibly in an effort to live out her fantasies of castles and princesses. Word from town is that Mary has not been entirely sane for many years, and her daughter is actually a teenager. No one has seen the girl around or near town since disappearing. She has no family or known significant other.
Ismark: young lord who has inherited the responsibilities of running Barovia village since the passing of his father; he believes it is critical to re-establish trade and commerce with Vallaki and other surrounding towns in order to bring the people of Barovia out of their impoverished state; he plans to send his sister, Ireena to enter into diplomatic talks with the Baron of Valloki to these ends while he remains to try to establish order.
Ireena: leveled-headed young woman, despite being the only daughter of a minor lord, she was permitted to follow her interests in sword-play and protecting the people of Barovia, as there is no actual, established town guard, rather than being entered into an arranged marriage. She has a fiery spirit that perhaps outpaces her abilities at times.
Father Donavich: once a good man of faith, seeing his only son transformed into a vampire drove him to madness, torn between wanting to spare hisson and save the lives of others, has kept his son, Doru, locked under the church or the last year, praying for his salvation
Doru: young Barovian peasant who says he and his friends had clansdestinely met with Lord Strahd outside the village a year ago. Doru agreed to become the vampire's consort, but was captured and imprisoned by his father before he could go to Castle Ravenloft.
Alenka, Mirabel, and Sorvia: three Vistani sisters who own the Blood of the Vine tavern.
